  30.  - Users of the BBE-package must accept this disclaimer of warranty:

  32.  - The BBE-package is supplied as is.  The author disclaims all
  33.    warranties, expressed or implied, including, without limitation,
  34.    the warranties of merchantability and of fitness for any purpose.
  35.    The author assumes no liability for damages, direct or consequential,
  36.    which may result from the use of the BBE-package;
  37.  
  38.  - The BBE-package is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  39.    to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your friends,
  40.    but please do not give it away altered or as part of another system.
  41.    The essence of "user-supported" software is to provide personal com-
  42.    puter users with quality software without high prices, and yet to
  43.    provide incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products.

  45.  - If you find this program useful and find that you are using and con-
  46.    tinue the use of the BBE-package after a 30 days trial period, you
  47.    must register the BBE-package as described below. With this regis-
  48.    tration you also 'unlock' the memory-requirements of the DOS-shell;

  50.  - Non-commercial can get a license for the usage up to this release
  51.    of the BBE-package for US $ 15,--. This ONLY gives you the right
  52.    of using the software and will unlock the DOS-shell, so you will
  53.    have full memory available while you are inside the DOS- shell.
  54.    For Non-commercial users there is a POSSIBILITY to submit to one
  55.    of the special contracts;
  56.  
  57.  - Commercial usage of BBE is NOT free of charge. Also, a so called
  58.    'closed' Bulletin Board System (a system where the user must pay
  59.    direct to the SysOp to get full access) is NOT free of charge.
  60.    Both types of users MUST register directly after the evaluation
  61.    period by filling in the REG_FROM.BBE form and by sending it,
  62.    along with the money or cheque, to the address in the header of
  63.    this documentation;

  65.  - The registration of the BBE-package will license ONE copy for use on
  66.    any computer at any one time, as long as the usage confirms to the
  67.    type of registration you have done (so NON-commercial usage when you
  68.    have a non-commercial license);
  69.  
  70.  - Anyone distributing the BBE-package for any kind of remuneration must
  71.    first contact the Author at the address above for authorization.
  72.  
  73.  - You are encouraged to pass a copy of the BBE-package along to your
  74.    friends for evaluation.  Please encourage them to register their
  75.    copy if they find that they can use it;
  76.  
  77.  - When you are a non-commercial user of BBE and you are depending
  78.    on the software, you can consider to pay a small amount of
  79.    money for service;

  81.  - Support on BBE, when used in a non-commercial environment, is
  82.    available even when you don't enter a service contract, but the
  83.    these users (both commercial users and non-commercial users with
  84.    a service contract) have higher priority;

  86.  - Problems and suggestions can be entered in the FidoNet <tm> Echomail
  87.    conference <tm> called DISP (international). Entering this echo does
  88.    not exclude you of the duty to register the BBE-package, though users
  89.    who evaluate the product can enter the echo for questions;

  91.  - The BBE-package, all programs, the documentation and support-files is
  92.    copyrighted 1990 by Robert W. van Hoeven, PO. Box 131, Badhoevedorp
  93.    1170AC, Holland. All rights are reserved. You may copy this package
  94.    for backup purposes. Also you may copy and share unmodified copies of
  95.    the whole package, providing that the copyright notice is reproduced
  96.    and included on all copies.

  98.    authors. Please refer to the documentation of these programs for

  112.  NON-Commercial registration

  115.  When you use BBE in a NON-commercial environment you must pay a small
  116.  amount of money for a license.
  117.  Payment of the registration fee, entitles you to:
  118.  
  119.  - The license for running ONE copy of the BBE-package in a NON-commer-
  120.    cial environment on any computer at any one time;
  121.  
  122.  - A diskette with the latest copy of the BBE-package on 5 1/4 or
  123.    3 1/2 inch diskette (360/720 Kb);
  124.  
  125.  - A special file to enter the name of the owner (company) in the
  126.    header of BBE. This file can be used on subsequent releases, also
  127.    those releases obtained from Shareware sources like a BBS. This
  128.    file will also unlock the memory drawback on the DOS-shells;
  129.  
  130.  - The license for a NON-commercial environment can not be used in a
  131.    other environment than NON-commercial. Upgrading to a 'normal'
  132.    commercial license can be done by paying the difference in price;
  133.  
  134.  The license does NOT include any update service as described later
  135.  (you only get the next MAJOR for free) nor does it include the 90 days
  136.  support contract.

  138.  The price for a commercial license is US $ 15,--. Domestic (dutch)
  139.  users have to pay Hfl 10,--, but if they send me a diskette and a
  140.  addressed mailer and enough stamps for the return, they pay Hfl 5,--.

  146.  When you use BBE in a commercial environment or when you use BBE on
  147.  a so called 'closed' BBS (this is a BBS where the users must pay to
  148.  the Sysop to get full access), you must pay for a license to use BBE.

  174.  Support contract
  175.  ────────────────────────────────────

  177.  Both commercial AND non-commercial users can enter a support con-
  178.  tract. Paying the fee for a support contract, entitles you to:
  179.

  181.  - Free support (by Fidonet <tm> Netmail or by mail) for the first 90
  182.    days after payment;
  183.  
  184.  - This support consists of answering questions and fixing any program
  185.    errors the owner of the support contact submits to me in person.
  186.    Only program errors that can be reproduced and that interfere with
  187.    the intended use of the program as outlined in the documentation
  188.    (BBEDOCEN.DOC) will be fixed. The author can ask you to give some
  189.    special data (sometimes on a diskette) to correct the problem and
  190.    can ask you to check if you own a valid copy of the BBE-package;
  191.  
  192.  - The author may choose not to fix any problem that is related to
  193.    hardware and/or software configurations and that causes one or more
  194.    of the programs in the BBE-package not to run correctly. In this
  195.    case the author can be asked for a refund of the support contract
  196.    for the unused part of the contract, starting the date the problem
  197.    was submitted to the author and ending at the end of the 90 day
  198.    period;
  199.  
  200.  - BBE can be customized for the usage of the 'communication inter-
  201.    rupt'. Normally BBE uses Int 66 for communication interfacing.
  202.    Users with 90 day support, can get one different, customized,
  203.    version which uses another AVAILABLE interrupt. Users must send
  204.    a diskette themself, but the returning of this diskette is in-
  205.    cluded in the 90 day support;
  206.  
  207.  - The author makes no other warranties, expressed or implied, and this
  208.    warranty is expressly limited to the cost of the support contract
  209.    fee;
  210.  
  211.  After paying the support fee, you will receive a written description
  212.  on how to enter problems or suggestions.

  214.  The price for a support contract is US $ 50,-- for both commercial and
  215.  non-commercial users. This does not exclude you from paying for a
  216.  lisence.

  219.  Update service
  220.  ────────────────────────────────────

  222.  Both commercial AND non-commercial users can enter the update ser-
  223.  vice. International users who use BBE commercial or non-commercial
  224.  will benefit most of this feature. Paying the fee for update service,
  225.  entitles you to:
  226.  
  227.  - Receiving every new release (minor AND major) for the period of
  228.    one year or 5 releases (which ever comes first) on diskette
  229.    media by first-class Airmail;
  230.  
  231.  - The updates will be send the same day the new release is submitted
  232.    to the support BBS (2:512/100 in Holland);
  233.  
  234.  - The diskettes are first-class (no no-name or white diskettes) and
  235.    will contain a special diskette label;
  236.  
  237.  The price for update service is US $ 20,-- for 5 1/2 inch (360Kb) dis-
  238.  kettes and US $ 30,-- for 3 1/2 inch (720Kb) diskettes.

  241.  Paying
  242.  ────────────────────────────────────

  244.  - By postal money order or international money order. Normal cheques
  245.    (if they are not EuroCheques) will cost me extra money to transfer,
  246.    so add $ 10,-- for transfer if you use such a cheque. Cheques that
  247.    can not be collected within a reasonable time, are returned to the
  248.    sender;

  254.  - Giro-cheques (only dutch) written out to the name above;

  256.   - Sending money directly, but please make sure you send it with
  257.     some kind of safety, so you can make sure yourself that I received
  258.     the money. When you send money, you can also send money in your
  259.     own currency, but make sure to use a valid exchange rate. This is
  260.     the exchange rate on the day you send the money to me;
  261.  
  262.  In NO way I can accept credit-card transfers. If you are not sure,
  263.  please contact me by normal mail !

  265.  Dutch users can also pay in dutch money. Transfer the amount of dutch
  266.  money in one of the above ways. Use the exchange rate on the day of
